About
Just1 is about habits. It’s about giving as a way of life – serving in small ways on an on-going basis. My aim is to give you plenty of ideas on how to help, as well as who to help! Whenever possible, I try to make my ideas budget and time-friendly as well as kid/family oriented.
Just1 began as a program to encourage and assist members of the community in purchasing and donating food and personal care items to local charity organizations on an on-going basis. The idea was simple: while purchasing food for yourself or your family, purchase Just1 more item to donate to a local food pantry. When you are ready to donate, you can simply drop the items off or contact me. Cheap, simple and easy.
Since then, I’ve changed things up a bit. I’ve added Monthly Interviews and Monthly Challenges. Monthly Interviews highlight great organizations in our community, our country and our world. The Monthly Challenge gives ideas of how you can help that particular organization.
Just that simple: The idea for Just1 came to me in the fall of 2009. The idea just popped into my head along with the name and the logo. Just like that. I had a nagging feeling to get moving, but I hate the idea of putting myself out there so I just kept putting it off. Finally God got through and I decided to step out and move forward. I realize that I can’t control and am not responsible for how other people respond, all I can do is be faithful to do as I’m called.
The idea is based on my (perhaps naive) idea that most people want to help others, but are at a loss of how to do that on tight budgets or with busy schedules. The heart of Just1 is that maybe giving doesn’t have to be expensive. Maybe it doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming. Maybe it just takes faithfulness, consistency, and a willing heart.
JustMe: I’m a Christian, wife, stay-at-home mom to two boys, homeschool graduate, homeschooler, and part-time college student.
JustThanks: Thanks so much to my husband and my brother-in-law for all their help with the site and the logo!

I am so proud of you for stepping out in obedience to God’s leading. That’s all He is asking of us…to trust and obey.
